H.I.Fraser Group

H.I.Fraser Group is a privately owned Australian company, specialising in gas, liquid and waste system supply, design, build, maintenance and certification.
The company was founded in 1955 and services the Navy, offshore and onshore oil and gas, industrial gas, mining, commercial marine, rail, building and aerospace industries in Australia and Asia-Pacific.
==History==
Founded by a Scottish engineer Hugh Ian Fraser in 1955 in Tasmania, H.I.Fraser initially practiced general engineering and represented Hale Hamilton, Clam Engineering & Goliath in Australia, procuring valves and strainers packages for Australian heavy industry.
Following several large orders placed for submarine valves by the Australian Navy, H.I.Fraser moved its head office from Hobart to Sydney to be able to provide better support to this growing customer.
The Kirkbys bought the business in 1987 and began diversifying into the provision of design and engineering services for naval and defence-related projects with a specialisation in hyperbaric and pneumatic systems.
In 1999 H.I.Fraser opened its second office in Perth, Western Australia to manage the increasing repair and overhaul workload for the Australian Navy.
Further expansion and diversification followed in 2001 with the acquisition of Philcor, an Australian supplier of marine and rail vacuum waste collection and waste treatment systems.
2006 was the year when H.I.Fraser entered the Oil & Gas market via acquisition of Total Fluid Power, another Australian manufacturer, specialised in design and engineering of fluid control systems for Oil & Gas.
To further increase its footprint in the industry in 2010 H.I.Fraser acquired Pipeline Actuation & Control, founded in 1993 to service Oil & Gas pipeline sector in Australia.
As of today, H.I.Fraser consists of 7 business divisions based in Sydney and Perth and services Navy, Defence, Rail, Oil & Gas, Commercial Marine, Building, Industrial Gas and Aerospace sectors in the areas of design and engineering, logistics support, manufacturing, maintenance, environmental systems, specialist procurement and supply chain management.
